According to a news statement from the Memphis Police Department published on Twitter, one person was killed and 10 people were injured early on Sunday as a result of two gunshots in Tennessee that police believe are connected.
As of late Sunday morning, police had not made any arrests, but they did release images of three males they claimed to be persons of interest.
Police say one of the men may have been hurt and required medical assistance.
The shootings happened in Memphis’ Whitehaven district, which is close to the Memphis International Airport and roughly 10 miles (16 kilometers) south of the city center.
According to the press release, police were called to the first scene at Memphis nightclub the Live Lounge at 12:43 a.m.
Two victims were taken in critical condition and taken to the hospital.
In private automobiles, five more people with less serious injuries were taken to nearby hospitals and eventually released.
Police were informed of a second shooting approximately a mile distant while they were at the first location.
According to police, three more victims were taken to the hospital there in critical condition, and one male victim was pronounced dead there.
On late Sunday morning, the five hospitalized victims were still in critical condition.
