DISTROKID ROYALTIES ARE BEHIND BY ALMOST 2 YEARS FOR NAPSTER

Distrokid is an independent digital music distribution service founded in 2013. Distrokid offers musicians and other rights-holders the opportunity to distribute and sell or stream their music through online music streaming services such as Apple Music, Spotify, Pandora, Tidal, Deezer, Iheartradio, Napster and a host of many more streaming service. On Feb. 2, 2023 Distrokid released royalties for Napster, one of the highest paying services according to the most research on streaming service via Google search. The shocking twist to this “news” is that Distrokid is almost 2 years behind on releasing Napster royalties. Twitter reacts to this news on Twitter account @DistrokidR who reports when royalties are paid via Distokid.

Media mogul Benny Hunna poses a question about why the royalties are being held for years as he tweets ” Surely someone’s fiscal earnings are inflated by acting in the capacity of a financial holdings corporation” 🤔

Also @H2hunna confirms that @BMI or Broadcast Music Inc. pays Napster royalties every quarter. Is something fishy going on? Distrokid and Napster have yet to respond. Twitter Reacts (below)
