Chicago rapper Lil Durk, whose real name is Durk Banks, has been charged in connection with a murder-for-hire scheme. The 32-year-old was apprehended by U.S. Marshals in Florida.
His arrest follows reports that five alleged members of his OTF collective were implicated in a murder-for-hire plot aimed at rapper Quando Rondo, in which his cousin was fatally shot in August 2022. The charges against these five individuals, unsealed by a U.S. District Court in Los Angeles yesterday, include conspiracy to commit murder-for-hire, murder-for-hire resulting in death, and use of a machine gun in a violent crime leading to death.
