Rapper Cardi B took the stage at a campaign rally for Vice President Harris in Wisconsin on Friday, but a teleprompter glitch caused a momentary stumble just as she was about to start speaking.
The rally, held in West Allis—a suburb of Milwaukee and a crucial area for Democratic votes—was Harris’ third and final stop in Wisconsin. While Milwaukee itself is largely Democratic, the surrounding suburbs tend to lean Republican.
As Cardi B stepped up to the podium, it became clear that her teleprompter wasn’t displaying her prepared remarks. For nearly two minutes, she engaged with the crowd as the issue was resolved. Eventually, a woman handed Cardi B a cell phone, allowing her to start her speech.
