DJ Vlad is pulling out all the stops to land an interview with Eminem—calling it his “dream interview.” The VladTV founder recently revealed that he’d pay a whopping $100,000 for an unrestricted, no-holds-barred conversation with the rap legend.
In a chat with Cam’ron, Vlad said he’s ready to offer the large sum for a sit-down with Eminem, where no topic would be off-limits. “I would pay $100,000 for an interview with Eminem,” Vlad stated, adding that it would be the kind of interview that’s “timeless”—with no time limits and full freedom for both parties to talk candidly.
Vlad, who’s been in the game for years, emphasized the connection he feels with Em. Both are hip-hop enthusiasts and, notably, both are white. According to Vlad, this shared background could make for an interview filled with rich perspective and history.
While the offer is big, don’t hold your breath for Eminem to take the bait. The rapper has made it clear over the years that he’s very selective about interviews, regularly turning down offers—even some in the seven-figure range. Most notably, he turned down a $1 million livestream gig and $100 million for a potential world tour with 50 Cent and Snoop Dogg.
