Houston rapper Sauce Walka is making it clear—he’s not seeking revenge for the tragic murder of his artist Sayso P.
The hip-hop world was rocked when Sayso P was gunned down in Memphis earlier this month, but despite the pain, Sauce Walka says he won’t retaliate. “As much as it hurts my soul, and it really breaks me down… I can’t retaliate because that’s not righteous,” he said in an emotional interview.
And let’s be real—if he wanted to, he could. The rapper claims he could mobilize “400, 500 different men” in an instant, but insists that continuing the cycle of violence isn’t the way. “What is that gonna solve? Who’s really there for you when you’re locked up or dead?” he questioned.
Authorities have identified 21-year-old Jayden Dandridge as a suspect in the murder and issued an arrest warrant. A $6,000 reward is now on the table for anyone with info leading to his capture.
For now, Sauce Walka is choosing to honor Sayso P’s legacy without bloodshed. “We gotta be better,” he said.
