Rapper Kevin Gates is stirring the pot again — this time dragging NBA royalty into the mix. In a recent video clip that’s making waves, Gates made some very unsolicited comments about LeBron James and his longtime queen, Savannah James.
Gates said he wouldn’t want to be in LeBron’s shoes — not because of the fame, the pressure, or the championships — but because of how Savannah looks at her man. Yep, he really said that.
“I don’t like the way Savannah look at LeBron,” Gates said. “I like the way them white women look at LeBron… they be geeked out soon as he walk in.”
Oh, but he didn’t stop there. Gates doubled down, calling Savannah the “warden of the jail” and claiming she gives off vibes like LeBron’s not doing enough — despite the man being a billionaire and one of the greatest athletes of all time.
Naturally, fans weren’t having it. Social media lit up in defense of Savannah, calling Gates out for projecting and disrespecting a woman who’s been holding it down since LeBron was just a high school phenom.
One fan summed it up perfectly: “White women lust after him. Savannah loves him — big difference.”
As of now, the King and Queen of the NBA haven’t addressed the drama — but knowing them, silence might be the classiest clapback of all.
