In Maryland, dozens of people were hospitalized due to food poisoning after eating a dish brought in by a co-worker. According to the Howard County Health Department, paramedics responded to NAFCO Wholesale Seafood Distributors after reports of “multiple patients with food poisoning” linked to a shared meal. Health officials reported that 46 adults were taken to the hospital, though all were in stable, non-critical condition. On Tuesday, Oct. 22, officials confirmed the illness stemmed from outside food prepared by an employee and shared with co-workers.
