FALANDO JONES TAKES CONTROL WITH 24 POINTS IN THE CITY OILERS WIN OVER FERROVIARIO BEIRA

The City Oilers have had a pretty rough start in the 2023 Basketball Africa League (@thebal) season. The City Oilers lost their first 3 games which put them in a ” Do or Die” situation in their match today against Ferroviario Beira. The Ugandan City Oilers loss to Angolan P. Luanda on April 27th 89 -71. In their second game against Al Ahly they close a 33 point gap in an amazing performance that came down to the last play but unfortunately loss 70 -72. The City Oilers third game was not even close losing to now 1-3 SLAC 68 – 96.

Today the Ugandan City Oilers redeemed themselves in a must win situation against Ferroviario Beira. The final score was 96 -75. Greenwood, Ms native Falando Jones was named MVP with 24 point, 4 assists, and 7 rebounds. Falando Jones has been one of the top scores on the City Oilers roster with a total of 81 points in the last 4 games with 130 minutes of play time. ESPN.com highlights Falando Jones in some clips of today’s game as he “dominates” on the court.
