CLARKSDALE, MS — Hip-hop mogul Rick Ross has been honored with a street named after him in Clarksdale, Mississippi — a city with deep ties to his family roots.
On June 17, 2025, local officials unveiled Rick Ross Boulevard during a public ceremony attended by Ross, city leaders, and members of the community. The honor recognizes the rapper’s influence in music, business, and culture, as well as his connection to Clarksdale through his parents and grandparents who lived in the area.
“This means more than I can explain,” Ross said during the dedication. “My family is from here, and to have a street named after me in Clarksdale is a dream come true.”
The city described the move as a way to inspire future generations and highlight successful individuals who maintain strong ties to the Mississippi Delta. The renamed street is expected to boost local pride and serve as a lasting tribute to the artist’s achievements.
Rick Ross, born William Leonard Roberts II, is best known for his successful music career and ventures in business, including partnerships with Wingstop, Belaire, and other brands.
